Elders 9 – Holly

Missing Nicky, embroiled in a telephone marathan, we embraced Holly

Needing to keep warm after our cerebral yoga, we played the imitation Game, imitating movements around our circle.

We took off, avoiding the mud paths finding a path without mud to the sunshine around the ponds. Here we drank in the sun rays, admiring a holly laid 6-7 years ago sprouting from its layed horizontal stems.

At the cabin, inspired by Marianne, who alerted us to the extraordinary architecture of the holly leaf, we did some speed drawing, a 2 minute, a 4 minute and a cartoon.

Back at the ranch we huddled around the fire, and sang our songs: The holly and the Ivy. Gabrielle led us in the round of Trees grow tall in the heart of the forest. Finally our very own Kaliwood song composed by Caroline Way – it fitted perfectly to this day, with hot chai and wood stories .
