Will the UK become a temperate rainforest, we wondered as rain came again?
We completed the creation of the new fire pit begun by the Wednesday tribe, by filling with soil, cutting fresh stakes and banging them in, before we had a ritual lighting of the first fire. The pit was much admired by Roy and C.
After delicious soup made by Leslie and heated on the virgin fire, we felt the need to move. Our first meander was to CLIVE, the stunningly beautiful creation by MJ, our downstairs toilet – as it happens next door to the WW2 mens urinals, inspected by Roy and 6 women. Returning by the tree nursery we had a quick tree quiz, Leslie came out top.

We ventured out to the land, inspected the pond, walked down the north ride to the circle, then the south ride to the footpath, until we came up close to the flowering phycellia, buzing with bees. We saw why they were called Fiddlenecks.
Back we came via the happy hedge planted 1.5 years ago by Roy and Leslie among others.
One of our Elders observed: It’s felt like we’ve been on holiday today.
