Elders 10 Clay 3 – Making

It was one of those unexpected magic days, which just flowed. A day of creating and making, as we moved to the cabin to where the sun entered the wood, and with the sun on our backs, fire beside us, smoke away, we created our clay pieces. Inspired by Tamlin in the morning circle, we made buttons, hand hugs, votive offering, a sea horse, little pot, an amulet, a foot (sympathetic to a persons foot), a doggy paw print, loom weight, a raw clay head.

In our circle we had the enjoyable novelty of a microphone, thank you Michael. Tied to our circle talking stick, we were interviewed with BBC annunciation: What are you going to make today? the BBC voice asked each of us.

Caroline bought in some stunning pottery she had done in the last century, with a design and method well ahead of her time, she anticipated Damien Hurst and someone else, whose name escapes me. What a trail blazer.

Here we are:

At the end as the sun was loosing it’s strength we walked over to the field and the Pit prepared by Peter and Rachel, skillfully modified by Tamlin and Sarah and finally covered to stop the rain getting in.

And finally, to warm ourselves up we clapped.
