As a carpet of yellow ochre leaves fell beneath the Hornbeam, (and randomly someone arrived to see our Hornbeams), we worked around the fire, collecting and steaming leaves in mordanted cloth, and low what glorious result! See images below.
Meanwhile, with Rachel fresh back from her travels to Sussex, we planted the seeds she had collected from a 600 year old oak, near Petworth, along with some unknown seeds. Virginia is the excellent narrator in the film.
